Terms of Service

Last updated: March 21, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TournamentHub ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, tournament directors, scorers, and any other persons who access the Platform.

2. Description of Service

TournamentHub is a bowling tournament management platform that provides tools for creating and managing tournaments, recording scores, displaying live leaderboards, generating QR-based access codes, managing finals brackets, compiling bowler profiles, and archiving historical results. The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

3. User Accounts

Certain features of the Platform require authentication through our OAuth provider. When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are inactive for an extended period.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Enter false, misleading, or fraudulent tournament data or scores
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure or other users' access
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform without permission
  • Impersonate another person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation
  • Use the Platform to transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Manipulate tournament results, standings, or bowler statistics

5. Tournament Data Ownership

Tournament directors retain ownership of the tournament data they enter into the Platform, including tournament configurations, bowler information, and scores. By using the Platform, you grant TournamentHub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute this data as necessary to provide the Platform's services, including public leaderboards, archived results, and bowler profiles. Tournament results that are published or archived become part of the public record and may continue to be displayed even after account termination.

6. Bowler Information

Tournament directors are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate authorization to enter bowler information into the Platform. For minor participants (under 18 years of age), directors must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian before entering their information. Directors acknowledge that bowler data entered into the Platform may be compiled into career profiles and displayed publicly.

7. QR Code Access

The Platform generates QR codes that grant various levels of access to tournament data (viewer, scorer, lane-specific). Tournament directors are responsible for distributing these codes appropriately and understand that anyone with access to a QR code can use the associated permissions. Directors should treat scorer and lane-specific QR codes as sensitive access credentials.

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is owned by TournamentHub and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Platform or its software without our prior written consent. The TournamentHub name, logo, and related marks are trademarks of TournamentHub.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TournamentHub and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform. This includes, without limitation, liability for errors in score recording, incorrect standings calculations, data loss, or service interruptions during tournament events. Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Platform in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Tournament directors are advised to maintain backup records of scores and tournament data independent of the Platform.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TournamentHub, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal action.

15. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms of Service, please contact us through the Platform's administrative channels or by reaching out to the tournament director associated with your event.
